STAR WARS

GALAXY INSTALLATION

360 Experience

We geeked out when we were contacted for this job. To have a small part in the world premiere of the final Star Wars film to wrap up the original trilogy— we were ecstatic. So obviously we threw everything we had into this one. It turns out, General Mills has been getting behind Star Wars since the 80’s and in commemoration built an incredible experience in LA for the world premiere. We worked with DotDotDash to create a looping 360 experience for the fans to take photos in front of to imitate the infamous movie posters.

We rendered everything out of Cinema4D with spherically mapped cameras in 4K Equirectangular format—then composited in After Effects using it’s handy VR 360 tools that now ship with Adobe 2019.

Research & DeVELOPMENT

We spent a considerable amount of time simulating millions of particles to create nebulas and star-based structures—and had fun doing it.
